8:30am - 9:00am Round up on previous days work and prioritise which live jobs need the most urgent attention for today
9:00am - 11:00am Sourcing candidates for hot jobs through the use of databases, linkedin, referrals, job boards etc. This changes at 10am as you have to deal with the urgent interview request that comes in for the candidate you found yesterday. Interview arranged, back to sourcing!
11:00am - 11:30am New role in! It's a contract so takes priority over the permanent roles you were looking at. Sit down with your manager to go through the role and work out a plan of attack to find people for it!
11:30am - 01:00pm Get the role advertised. Create a shortlist of candidates from the database and start calling through them to find the top 3 available. Responding to ad responses and registering new candidates.
02:00pm - 03:00pm Back on to the contract role, you will be starting to make some really good progress with a cracking shortlist of candidates. Start to come up against the odd one or two that have already been covered by another agency this morning. Don't dwell on it, yours are better and there's nothing you can do.
03:00pm - 04:00pm Go through your shortlisted candidates with manager to select the top 3 for submission to the client. Get their CVs formatted, capturing your insight in to why your candidates are well suited to the role.
04:00pm - 05:30pm How can it be that time already, the day has flown by...but it has been good fun. Now back onto finding people for the other positions that you thought were the priority first thing this morning!
05:30pm The client who conducted yesterdays interviews is on the phone......they want to offer your candidate!! That feeling is what the job is all about!
